If you've never seen it, you must rent "The Wind and the Lion". It's a spectacular swashbuckling story set in Afghanistan in the early portion of the 20th century. I, like Mrs. Petakaris, am a lot of trouble. Sensitive, fair, and generally a bit demanding, there are those who concur heartily with The Lion. Nonetheless, though we are troublesome, we are also deeply and devoutly loved. It's a good combination.
I generally write for my blog over at Typepad (www.freshair.typepad.com). So why two blogs? I haven't fully reconciled the "why: as of yet. The "how" might be even tougher, but someone has to step up to the plate and half my friends are here too and I'm tired of posting "Anonymous" comments. Truth be told, being "Anonymous" just rankles someone with a strong (and difficult) sense of self. And that might just be the "why" of it right there.
Auntie Kim, over and out (for now).
